We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans to identify and resolve software defects. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards of software quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify bug fixes.
- Ensure software meets company and industry quality standards before release.
- Automate repetitive testing tasks using scripting or automation tools.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings to understand project requirements.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, JMeter, or similar.
- Maintain and improve test automation frameworks.
- Ensure compatibility across different devices, browsers, and operating systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestNG.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Trello.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Basic programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for automation.
